Daisy Day Camp is designed to be an engaging camp experience and a way for our prospective students to get ready for school. We have found that in years past, children have had an easier transition to school if they have attended at least one week of camp.
The program will focus on exploring a sensorial summer, enjoying learning experiences with all of our senses. We will delve into children’s literature and a variety of hands-on experiences such as outdoor play, water play, gardening, art, music, drama, storytelling, science and pre-academic activities to enhance pre-literacy and pre-math skills. Two experienced Wetherill staff members will lead the group.
Daisy Day Camp is for 3-and 4-year-old who currently attend or will be attending Wetherill in the fall. Hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 each day. Families may register children for one or more weeks as preferred; weeks need not be consecutive. There is an optional lunch time until 1:00pm.
Camp registration will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested in having your child attend, it is best to register early!

Come join us for an unforgettable week of fabulous hands-on fun! Get ready to roll up your sleeves and explore botany, oceanography, astronomy and entomology! We’ll dissect a plant and learn what each part does, plant seeds in your very own terrarium, investigate a real octopus, discover the fascinating world of shell-dwelling creatures, craft a constellation viewer, and embark on a journey through space in our homemade planetarium. Plus get ready to “bug out” as we create insect habitats so we can investigate our 6-legged friends up close. This will be an exciting exploration of the natural world that promises to spark curiosity and imagination! Ages 4-6.

Summer Camp Classics is all about celebrating the timeless activities that make camp unforgettable! From cooking over the campfire to stream time, field games, nature hikes, and arts and crafts, campers will enjoy all the classic experiences we know and love. Explore the wonders of nature with our Wild & Well theme! Campers will experience the freedom and peace that Riverbend is known for as they engage in guided nature walks, exciting outdoor games, and activities that promote physical activity and emotional well-being. This theme encourages kids to connect with nature and each other in a way that’s so much fun, some have even said Riverbend is “better than a video game!”
Riverbend Animals
Get up close and personal with our furry and scaly friends in the Riverbend Animals program! Campers will have the chance to interact with our beloved camp animals, including guinea pigs, snakes, turtles, and frogs, along with designated stream time for even more exploration in the natural world. This program encourages curiosity and creativity while fostering a love for wildlife. Get ready for an exciting adventure filled with hands-on experiences and plenty of animal fun!Messy Science
